Meet Our Founder & Chief Creative Officer

Like most adults, growing up, my parents did not teach me about financial literacy. They did their best, but like most parents, they assumed we would learn about money along the way. When this happens, young adults typically struggle financially. As I became a mom of young children, I realized the importance of financial literacy. I became determined to teach financial literacy to my children and, as a teacher, to others. 

Parenting and Family Fun Financial Literacy Expert Gloria Mansfield has been in the childcare industry for over thirty years, serving children and their families as a teacher, director, and childcare center owner. With a Master of Arts in Teaching E-6 and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing from Dallas Baptist University, Gloria founded Piggy Bank Tutor and Character Avenue to help parents raise 'money-smart kids' and refresh the joy of parenting through character education and family-time connections.

She is an advocate for building strong families by instilling character education and financial literacy at home, in schools, in churches, and throughout the community.  

Gloria has appeared on various radio, newspaper, and media outlets, including ABC/Good Morning Texas, NBC5, Fox Radio Syndicated Morning Shows, and CBS affiliate stations.
